FAQs ABOUT CLOTIVAG V GEL
Q: What is CLOTIVAG V GEL used for?
A: CLOTIVAG V GEL contains Clotrimazole, which belongs to the group of medicines called antifungals. It is used to treat vaginal thrush and relieves vulva irritation caused by vaginal thrush. Vaginal thrush is a common fungal infection caused by an overgrowth of the yeast Candida albicans. This yeast is naturally present in our bowels and vagina in small numbers. Q: How does CLOTIVAG V GEL work?
A: CLOTIVAG V GEL works by preventing the fungus’ growth. Clotrimazole works by blocking the production of enzymes responsible for the growth of fungal cells. This inhibition results in the breakage of cell membranes and fungal cell abnormalities, finally leading to alterations in the membrane-based activity of fungus. These lead to fungal cell death and the prevention of further fungal growth.
