INTRODUCTION

ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE contains Racecadotril which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiarrheals. It is indicated in the treatment of acute diarrhoea (sudden onset of three or more loose stools per day, lasting less than 14 days). Symptoms associated with diarrhoea includes abdominal cramps and pain, nausea, vomiting and severely it may cause blood or pus in the stool.

ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease, impaired liver function, suffering from chronic diarrhoea or diarrhoea caused by antibiotics, suffering from prolonged or uncontrolled vomiting, intolerant to lactose, blood or pus in the stools and fever.

ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women. This medicine is not suitable for use in children and adolescents, other forms of this medicine are used in children and adolescents. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.

The most common side effect of taking ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE is headache. Consult your doctor if the side effect worsens or if you experience any unusual effects.

HOW ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE WORKS

ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE helps in the treatment of diarrhoea as it has an antisecretory mechanism. It acts on the naturally occurring substances in our body called endogenous opioids (enkephalins) and prevents their degradation which reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes in the intestine without disturbing the movements of the intestines.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Always take ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE as directed by your physician. Swallow the medicine as a whole and do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of the medicine depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking it without informing your doctor.

Angioedema characterized by swollen face, tongue or pharynx, difficulty in swallowing, hives and difficulty in breathing
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Headache:

Rest and relax. Drink sufficient amount of fluids such as water. Apply a pain-relieving balm on the forehead if required. Do not consume alcohol. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

BREASTFEEDING

ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE does not affect your ability to drive or operate any machines.

KIDNEY

ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Consult your doctor before taking it.

LIVER

ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function. Consult your doctor before taking it.

ALLERGY

Do not take ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE if you are allergic to Racecadotril or other ingredients of this medicine.

OTHERS

Before taking ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE inform your doctor if you:

Are suffering from chronic diarrhoea or diarrhoea caused by antibiotics
Are suffering from prolonged or uncontrolled vomiting
Have intolerance to lactose
Have blood or pus in your stools and if you have fever

Use in pediatrics:

ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE is not suitable for use in children and adolescents, other forms of this medicine are used in children and adolescents. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.

Use in geriatrics:

ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before taking it.

INTERACTIONS

A. Drug – Drug Interactions:

Before taking ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE inform to your doctor, if you are taking any of these medicines:

Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors such as captopril, enalapril, lisinopril, perindopril, ramipril (used to treat high blood pressure)

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of ENUFF 100MG CAPSULE, consult your doctor immediately or visit a nearby hospital.
