INTRODUCTION

DREMZ CREAM is a combination of Hydroquinone, Tretinoin, Mometasone furoate which belongs to the group of medicines called Depigmenting agents, Retinoids and Corticosteroids respectively. It is used in adults for the treatment of moderate to severe melasma (dark spots on the skin) in association with sun-avoidance measures, like using sunscreens and wearing protective clothing.

Melasma is one of the most frequently acquired hyperpigmentation (excess melanin production) disorders with symptoms such as symmetrical brown patches on sun exposed areas mainly on face.

It is advised to avoid exposure to sun during treatment with DREMZ CREAM for better results. While going out apply sunscreens and wear full covering protective clothes.

Before using DREMZ CREAM inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, lung or heart diseases.

Safety and efficacy of DREMZ CREAM is not established in pregnant women and in children below 12 years of age. Ask for your doctor’s advice before using. DREMZ CREAM should be used with caution in breastfeeding women.

The most common side effects of using DREMZ CREAM are mild burning, stinging, redness and dryness. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen or doesn’t improve.

HOW DREMZ CREAM WORKS

DREMZ CREAM helps in treating melasma where Hydroquinone is a skin bleaching agent that blocks enzyme tyrosinase which is responsible for the production of melanin that cause pigmentation. Thus, it helps for fading of dark spots in skin. Tretinoin helps to recover the damage to the skin caused by sun exposure (photodamage) by thickening skin layer and loss of keratinized cells.it helps to rejuvenate the skin. Mometasone furoate blocks prostaglandin synthesis and reduces redness, swelling and itching caused by tretinoin and other skin infections.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Dry skin:

Drink plenty of water, milk, honey and stay hydrated. Apply sunflower oil, coconut oil ,aloe vera or petroleum jelly to moisturize skin. Contact doctor if it doesn’t improve.

Burning sensation:

Apply cool compress or wet cloth over affected area. Avoid hot bath because hot water can irritate your skin further. Do not scratch the affected area. Use protective clothing when going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin and apply calamine lotion as a coolant. Contact doctor if it is not subsiding.

BREASTFEEDING

ALLERGY

Do not use DREMZ CREAM if you are allergic to Hydroquinone, Tretinoin, Mometasone or any other constituents of this medicine. Consult your doctor before using.

OTHERS

Use in paediatrics:

The safety and efficacy of DREMZ CREAM is not being established in children below 12 years of age. Consult with your child’s doctor before using it for your child.

Use in geriatrics:

There is no information on the use of DREMZ CREAM in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before using DREMZ CREAM.

INTERACTIONS

A. Drug – drug interactions:

Before using DREMZ CREAM, inform your doctor if you are taking, have taken or might take any other medicine, including prescription, non-prescription or any herbal medicine.

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally ingests or apply too much of DREMZ CREAM, consult your doctor immediately.

Do I need to take any precaution while using DREMZ CREAM?

It is advised to reduce exposure to sun during treatment with DREMZ CREAM for better results. While going out apply sunscreens and wear full covering protective clothes. Exposure to sunlight or ultra-violet light will cause repigmentation of lightened skin. Do not apply DREMZ CREAM to broken skin.

What is the best time to use DREMZ CREAM?

It is advised to use DREMZ CREAM before bedtime. This will reduce the chances of exposure of the treated skin to sun. However, ask for your doctor’s advice before using.
