HOW BIOKOF SYRUP WORKS
BIOKOF SYRUP is a combination of Ambroxol, Guaiphenesin, Terbutaline and Menthol where Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent which thins and loosens the mucus (phlegm) and makes it easier to cough out. Guaiphenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of secretions present in the airways, thins the mucous and helps in their removal from the airways. Menthol is an organic compound (cooling agent) which produces a sensation of coolness by stimulating the cold receptors and relieves minor throat irritation. Terbutaline belongs to bronchodilator which relaxes the muscles in the airways and results in widening of the airways. Together, they make breathing easier and eliminates cough.
