INTRODUCTION
AMROLMAC GEL contains Amorolfine which belongs to the group of medicines called Topical Anti-fungals. It is used in the treatment of fungal infections of the skin such as tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis and tinea manuum. It is also used for treating cutaneous candidiasis and pityriasis versicolor.
A fungal infection also called mycosis caused by a fungus. Some fungal infections occur when an invading fungus takes over an area of the body and is too much for the immune system to handle. The symptoms of a fungal infection will depend on the type, but common symptoms include the following skin changes, including cracking or peeling skin and itching.
AMROLMAC GEL is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before applying it.

The most common side effects of applying AMROLMAC GEL are burning, itching, erythema, skin dryness and scaling. Consult your doctor for advice if the above symptoms gets worse.
USES OF AMROLMAC GEL
It is used to treat fungal infections such as:
Tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, tinea manuum
Cutaneous candidiasis and pityriasis versicolor
HOW AMROLMAC GEL WORKS
AMROLMAC GEL works against the fungi by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. Therefore, leading to alternation in fungal cell membrane permeability and disruption of key fungal metabolic processes, causing cell death.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply AMROLMAC GEL as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash your hands with soap and water before and after using AMROLMAC GEL.
Apply a thin layer of this medicine on the affected area and rub it gently into the skin. Avoid applying this medicine to the mouth and nostrils. Your doctor will give the right dose depends on your age, body weight and severity of the infection.

Stop applying AMROLMAC GEL and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Allergic reactions such as swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat which results in difficulty breathing, severe skin rashes
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Skin redness or itchy skin:
Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate the skin. Do not scratch the affected area. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. Regularly use unscented moisturizers to soothe and hydrate the affected area. If the symptom does not improve, contact your doctor.

INTERACTIONS

Tell your doctor if you are taking, using or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, vitamin supplement, herbal products or the following medicine:
Acenocoumarol (medicines used to treat blood clots)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally applies too much of AMROLMAC GEL consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
